Yogamary’s Hints and facts

  • Wear loose comfortable clothing. Layering is good.
  • Do not eat 2 hours before class.
  • Bring a sticky yoga mat and small blanket if you tend to get cold during relaxation. Bring anything else to make you most comfortable:
    • a small pillow
    • padded exercise mat
    • eye pillow.
  • Hatha Yoga improves circulation, balance, strength and coordination and helps the muscles stay flexible.
  • Hatha Yoga can increase the breathing capacity and brings the central nervous system down from the “Sympathtic”(stress/fight or flight) to the “Parasympathic” (relaxation) system, promoting a sense of well being and lowering blood pressure.
  • Hatha Yoga can be practiced by any body type and at any age.
